Southern Miss received a grant to host a series of events related to the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Throughout the fall, events will be held all over town and on campus including readings, lectures and movie screenings. A series of posters, banners and pushcards were created to advertise around town for the upcoming events.
In the spring of 2015 the Office of University Communications at Southern Miss launched an awareness campaign focusing on student stories. The Choose Southern Miss campaign ran for three months throughout various advertising channels. For the campaign I was tasked with editing photos, typesetting and laying out over 200 individual pieces of art for newspapers, magazines and social media.
The University of Southern Mississippi recently brought back its annual Forum, which host speakers throughout the school year. As part of the relaunch I was asked to create a word mark and look for the collateral that will carry into future years.
This was a piece created for Southern Miss' Office of Admissions to help parents assist their students in acclimating to campus life. I created custom tabbed sections to divide out the content into relevant sections. The layout and style for this piece matched all other collateral coming out of Admissions for the year.
In 2012 Southern Miss Athletics celebrated their centennial. As part of a scholarship fundraising effort for student athletes, the Eagle Club requested that this book be produced. It was mailed out to all previous donors with the call to action of increasing their donation level to become a "Centurion" donor. Because this was the first time they produced a booklet like this, I was given free reign to come up with the style and feel for it, which is still used on all Eagle Club collateral today.
Each year the USM Foundation hosts donor tailgating events before home football games. This suite of materials includes the initial invitation and several followup pieces used to remind donors of future games they could attend.
Envelope, invitation, postcard, and buck-slip.
Last year the University of Southern Mississippi's CSW&S was renamed the Dale Center for the Study of War & Society. As part of the renaming the USM Foundation launched a fundraising campaign for the center. This was the brochure that I created for them to distribute to potential donors. The historical images were researched through the Library of Congress and then incorporated into the layout.
This piece was created as a quick fact sheet for visitors to the campus with useful information about Southern Miss' history and student population. Because a large portion of the visitors to campus are there as potential students, I incorporated some of the look that Admissions was using for their collateral so these would fit with the other materials students were receiving.
This book was created for Southern Miss' Office of Admissions recruiters to take and distribute during recruiting events and high school visits. It includes detailed information about tuition, housing, financial aid, and scholarships for incoming students. This was created to match a companion piece distributed at the same time that was more an overview of student life.
Annual report created for the USM Foundation with featured stories and facts and figures.
Suite of materials created for the annual Honor Club Gala honoring the highest levels of USM Foundation donors. Because this is a high end event for the Foundation, we decided to use white ink on black paper to set it apart from the previous year's worth of materials.
Various pieces of illustration work created for clients or personal projects.
